The Mid-year Report is based on data collected over 13 months, from April 15, 2005 to May 15, 2006. With an overall score of 91.60, EditScript was the highest rated product among like products. In addition, EditScript received the highest score or tied for the highest score in 38 out of 40 questions asked by KLAS on a variety of indicators covering product quality, the implementation process, and business results. 100% of respondents would buy EditScript again and 100% would recommend EditScript to a peer.
eScription compared EditScript, with its score of 91.60, to all products in the KLAS Mid-year Report. This comparison revealed that EditScript is the seventh most highly rated product among more than 300 products that meet the standards for KLAS minimum confidence level. Among all products, the average overall score is 79.60.
In the KLAS Speech Recognition Report, the eScription EditScript product ranked #1 in the category of Back-End Speech Recognition. EditScript received a total score of 91.4 out of 100, which surpassed the Speech Recognition product average of 79.5, and the KLAS Health Information Technology (HIT) average of 79.0. The KLAS performance rating measurements addressed 40 criteria, including product/technology indicators, service indicators, success indicators, and business indicators.
As noted in the report, across all categories of indicators, "Scores for eScription EditScript exceed both the KLAS HIT and Speech Recognition overall scores. This represents excellent scoring." In a section of Functional Strength Ratings, on a scale of 1-5, where 5 was strong, EditScript ranked 4.6 in Physician Satisfaction, 4.4 in Speech Recognition Overall Learning Capability, and 4.5 in Management Reporting, exceeding the competition.
The primary three quantifiable benefits identified by respondents included Increased Productivity, Reduced Turnaround Time and Decreased Costs. The report noted that utilization of back-end speech recognition systems is far more widespread than usage of front-end systems, where the vast majority of usage is in the radiology department. Among eScription respondents, 74% indicated that 100% of their clinicians were using the EditScript solution.
