eScription Holds Annual User Advisory Meeting
May 26, 2004 (Boston, MA) - eScription, Inc., the leader in Computer Aided Medical Transcription (CAMT) software announced today that it held its second annual User Advisory Meeting on May 25-26, 2004. Customer representatives including Transcription Supervisors, IT Managers and HIM Managers gathered for two days in the company's Needham office to provide input on products and services, view a demonstration of upcoming features, and help establish development priorities for the company's EditScript™ solution in year ahead.
The EditScript solution from eScription is designed exclusively to increase the productivity of medical transcription, and is based on the simple premise that it is faster to edit than to type. Clinicians dictate as usual, but instead of having their dictations typed from scratch, EditScript creates accurate and fully formatted first drafts that medical transcriptionists (MTs) quickly review and edit.
Users participated in roundtable discussions covering trends in health care information services and medical transcription. They also offered specific feedback on product features and ideas for enhancements, providing important direction for eScription development. Based on the company's 2003 User Advisory Meeting, eScription management presented a demonstration of new access and group management features in EditScript, which had been previously requested. Co-CEOs Ben Chigier and Paul Egerman presided over the meeting.
Participants consistently praised eScription Support for its availability and expertise. "We get such good support that if I didn't come to your User Group Meeting I would think I was eScription's only customer," stated Jefferson Howe, Transcription Manager at Maine Medical Center, who is also President of the American Association of Medical Transcription (AAMT).
