eScription Product Receives Best in KLAS for the Third Consecutive Year
February 5, 2007 (Boston, MA) - eScription, Inc., the leader in Computer Aided Medical Transcription (CAMT) software, announced today that its EditScript product has been named Best in KLAS for 2006 in Transcription and Back-End Speech Recognition, achieving this distinction for the third consecutive year as published in the KLAS Top 20 Year-end Report (December, 2006). The product rankings are a result of customer surveys and interviews with healthcare professionals and IT executives, collected over the past 13 months.
eScription provides enterprise-wide software designed to streamline medical transcription and reduce costs. Using a proprietary speech recognition engine, EditScript creates formatted draft documents from clinicians' dictations, which medical transcriptionists (MTs) subsequently review and edit, often doubling their productivity.
Out of the 40 indicators rated by customers in the KLAS surveys, EditScript received the highest score or tied for the highest score in 39 of them. These indicators cover topics ranging from the sales process to product quality, to implementation, support, and business results. 100% of eScription customers said they would buy this product again and 100% of eScription customers said they would recommend this product to their peers. In addition, the product ratings went up in 34 out of 40 KLAS indicators, even as eScription grew nearly 100% in terms of the number of dictation minutes processed by its system.
eScription compared EditScript with its overall score of 91.98 to all products in the KLAS Top 20 Report. This comparison revealed that out of more than 200 products of healthcare software vendors that meet the standards for KLAS' minimum confidence level, EditScript is the third most highly rated product. The average overall score for 2006 is 79.91.
EditScript received three checkmarks for confidence level, reaching the highest level of KLAS confidence. This interval represents a 95% confidence level that the actual overall product rating falls within +/- 0.15 of the given product average.
"We are delighted to be named Best in KLAS for the third consecutive year," stated eScription CEO, Ben Chigier. "It is particularly gratifying to see our KLAS ratings improve while we are growing so rapidly. That is a testament to the dedication of our employees to each customer we serve. We appreciate all the feedback from our customers via KLAS, positive and negative, because it helps us better address customer concerns, and continue to improve the products and services we provide."
